MOCCHI: an art non-art project
Pronunciation: \ mō-‘chē\ : a slang term rooted from Latin America standing for a mishmash of items or unexpected combination of things.

MOCCHI is a fluid conversation built around 10 questions posed to a guest artist(s). The conversations will be posted online the first Sunday of every month. The objective is to divulge an automatist conversation that highlights and hyper-injects a mental forum of art related ideas. Its interrelation to the art world is the place between art theory and slam journals. It is an attempt to represent the current movement of art or lack there of. This is in no way a new idea nor do I claim it be, as Jasper Johns stated in 1977, “because what is interesting to me is the fact that it isn’t designed, but taken. It’s not mine.”

If you are a media artist, filmmaker or curator and are interested in participating in this project please submit a brief statement of interest, cv, biography, current or upcoming project description and web site (not to exceed three pages) to mocchi@rocketmail.com.
